[Panel 1]
[Bell]
It's that time of year again.
[Elizabeth]
On any given day it generally is.
Which time of year exactly?
[Bell]
The one when the ruddy great spiders start to invade the house.
[Elizabeth]
Oh, them. There was one in the kitchen yesterday – I did the glass and
card trick and threw it out of the window.
[Panel 2]
[Bell]
That's quite easy on the kitchen floor
[Elizabeth]
Ceiling
[Bell]
Ceiling then. Still easier than the loo.
[Elizabeth]
Oh, no!
[Bell]
Yes. Middle of the night, busting for a pee, and there's this
spider doing the backstroke round the bowl.
[Panel 3]
[Elizabeth]
So what…?
[Bell]
Rescued it, of course. I put some loo roll down the side, but it didn't
work out it was an escape route.
In the end I had to sort of flick it.
[Elizabeth]
Out of the window? Coo.
[Panel 4]
[Bell]
No, onto the floor. It made its way into the hot airing cupboard.
[Elizabeth]
Don't tell Nils. He'll want it for a pet.
[Bell]
It'd still be luckier than yours. That one is probably starving to
death in the vegan caff downstairs.
