[Panel 1]
[Elizabeth]
So you've decided Camille isn't lunch?
[Nils]
He said he was a lodger.
[Bell]
You were THAT lonely
over Christmas?
[Elizabeth]
I see Beatrice isn't
here. Who ate her?
[Nils]
Nobody. She's found a
boyfriend over in Highgate.
[Bell]
Talking to a cheese is one
thing, taking its word for
things is something else.
[Panel 2]
[Elizabeth]
If we've got another lodger,
is there anything I ought to
buy in from Tesbury's?
[Bell]
I shouldn't bother.
Camille was probably lying...
[Nils]
I hadn't thought about it.
[Bell]
I expect that cheese eats
anything that doesn't get out of
the way fast enough, right, Nils?
[Panel 3]
[Elizabeth]
Maybe he does. Haven't you noticed
we haven't had to dust, this year?
[Nils]
I never did anyway.
[Elizabeth]
OK then, have you noticed
that your coffee doesn't
taste of dust these days?
[Nils]
Nor it does. Well, good
for him, in that case.
[Panel 4]
[Nils]
Just, thinking about drink,
don't spill any port on him.
[Elizabeth]
That's for STILTON. And
they're better apart anyway,
it's just a waste of port.
[Nils]
I do know what sort of cheese
my lodger is, thank you.
[Elizabeth]
And port would spoil camembert too?
[Nils]
No, he's just a REALLY mean drunk.
