I went out for a bike ride with
Jaakko and kept up with him.

That... doesn't sound
entirely plausible.

Well, all right, we
were on his tandem.

Followed the Marathon
route from last weekend.

[Elizabeth]
Have they picked up
the rubbish yet?

Mostly. Lots of random barriers
lying about the place, though.

Where do they go when they're
not being used, I wonder.

[Nils]
Barrier nests in police
station basements.

Have to breed up the population
for the next time, after all.

[Elizabeth]
But wouldn't they
overrun their habitat?

Well, obviously they must have
natural predators of some sort.

[Nils]
Not much sign of that.

[Bell]
Are you telling me we're going
to be overrun with metal fences?

The way motorways have been
overrun with cones, and now
they're shoulder to shoulder?

Unless I go out with the
ballista and cull them...
